Ty’s Reading Question Week 6

Markusen and Gadwa briefly discuss the topic of countering community skepticism as a challenge for community place making. Arguably this is one of the most important hurdles to get around. Without the support the support of the community where place making is occurring, it would be very difficult to get a program on it’s feet. Markusen and Gadwa’s  main approach to countering this issue is the mobilization of public will. What are some more specific ways to get the community involved and interested in a place making project?
